Tonie Yip's illustration: US Cultural Affairs Board Assignment Ceremony



As people are trying to struggle with the black economy, Barack Obama, the US president attempts to solve many solutions with job creation. Some non-profit art organizations are suffered from cut-off funds!
In congress, the American Recovery and Reinvestment bill is approved by the Federal government, includes some supplement for Cultural affairs to distribute to non-profit arts organizations through the state and local arts agencies.
However, how to manage this supplemental fund!
It is possible to set up the Federal Cultural Affairs Board which can be in association with all state arts agencies.

Art news: The 9th Shenzhen Reading Month - "Xinhua Cup" Secondary and Primary School Calligraphy Competition (First Prize Exhibition)


Shenzhen: Calligraphy is the traditional writing in Chinese culture. Instead in Beijing, historic city, but the scene shown in the youth city - Shenzhen by young students there.
The 9th Shenzhen Reading Month - "Xinhua Cup" Secondary and Primary School Calligraphy Competition, organized by the Shenzhen Reading Month Commitee presented the First Prize Exhibition held at Shenzhen Book City in Futian Dist., Shenzhen. Over 10 awarded calligraphy portfolio shown there.
The First Awarded Team awarded 27 schools all over the city located in Futian, Luohu, Bao'an, Yantian Nanshan and Longgang.
All calligraphy items are written in traditional Chinese.

Art news: "Elephant Can Talk" by Thai painters attended first show in Hong Kong


Hong Kong: Elephant repersents Thai national animal. As many people know that elephant is so large, overweighted, however, its kind, energy, love could created by
Supachet Bhumakarn, a painting artist from Thailand. Hong Kong-based Metta Find Arts Ltd. persents the exhibition "Elephant can talk" started from November 26, 2008 to December 17, 2008 at Gallery bt the Harbour (Shop 207, Level 2).
All paintings are rich in colors, beaming with energy and movement that resembles human emotons. They look like another modern illustration. The elephants in that forms each tells their own stories with their own words!
